Hi all,
After one of Victoria’s hottest summers, I write this presidents report, on the evening of our combined garage sale with the Monash Mens shed, where the weather struggled to move into double digits and it rained most of the day.
At the garage sale with the Mens shed it was a great success, apart from the weather, we managed to make a profit, which is always a good thing, and the members who attended, appeared to have a good time. I think Aldo enjoyed himself as his ute was full with purchases he made (at a good price).
I have been in contact with Pappy from the Melbourne Chapter, for those who don’t know Pappy (Im sure everyone does) Pappy is the President of the Melbourne Chapter and has reminded our club of Bumpers by the Bay to be held on Sunday May 5th in Williamstown. This is always a good event held by our friends at the Melbourne Chapter. The event this year takes on even more meaning with the supporting charity of the Heart Foundation in memory of the late Joe Brouns. Joe unfortunately passed early last year and you would find it harder to find such a genuine and respected man.
The Melbourne Chapter is also hosting this years State Titles being held at the RACV Goldfields Resort in Creswick (Ballarat) on the weekend of 19th and 20th of October. It is recommended that members book soon to avoid missing out on any accomodation. I have been advised that if you are an RACV member you will receive a discount based on your membership status.
This months run will be held on Sunday 14th April (a week earlier due to easter), more details will be discussed at the meeting. The run for the month of May will be the Presidents run on May 19th to the Essendon Airport aviation museum. The June run will be a bowling run to Forest Hill Bowling Alley.
That’s about it for me for this month.
Until next month, stay safe and safe travels.
Jason
