Hi all,
What an excellent night the presentation night was. The awards list is in this newsletter., but Rod swept the floor with his bag of trophies and Derk is now back on the committee thanks to winning Top Clubman. Well tonight is the Annual General Meeting, for those who are interested in putting their hand up for a position, please do.
I will renominate tonight in absence. I am currently away (yes Aldo I am away again) and will miss the runs and meetings in August and September.
We have had a great year thus far, but lets make it a better year, when we host our inter club challenge with the Melbourne Chapter next month when we go ten pin bowling. Remember we are the host club this year and we have to stop the bragging rights that Pappy and Cammo have had the last 12 months.
This months run is with the Gippsland Historical Automobile Club (Derk’s other club) for a run to the Vietnam Veterans in Phillip Island, further details are in the newsletter.
Although it’s not a designated club run, the “Poyser Holden” Central Victorian All Holden / GM Day will be held by the Bendigo Sandhurst Holden Club on Sunday 18th August 2019. It will be held at the showgrounds as usual. If you have nothing planned for that weekend it is always a good turnout of Holden vehicles.
Its not that far off until the state titles are on in Creswick in October. If you haven’t already booked accomodation, it is suggested that you chase this up ASAP as the rooms are filling up and if you have never been to a state titles it is a good event and plenty of earlies everywhere.
Lastly, if you have not paid your fees, they are now overdue, if you are on the Club Permit Scheme remember you must be financial to retain your vehicle on the scheme.
I thankyou for the trust you have put in me for the last 12 months as President of our great club and I look forward to the opportunity to continue in the future.
Anyway, that’s about it for me for this month.
Until next month, stay safe and safe travels.
Jason
