Hi all,
Ok we have now hit the half way mark of the year, the days are slowly starting to get longer and before we know it, we will be having fun in the sun again. The weather in Melbourne has been a little chilly and some of our members (Chris Kane) has even posted pictures up on Facebook showing the ice on their cars during this time. (I did as well, but I was up near Canberra at the time).
What a fantastic Presidents Run we had out to Essendon. It would have to be one of the biggest runs for participation I have been on and I think that everybody who attended had a good time. Most of us even went back to the Skyways Hotel for a lunch at the pub. There are pics in this newsletter of the run. I would like to thank my wife, Janine for suggesting the venue for the run and the help in preparing the run.
This month we have our presentation night on Saturday 20th of July at the Club Rooms, for those who have not attended before, these are an excellent night of drinking, eating and entertainment, especially with our auctioneer Big Trev.
Next month will be our Annual General Meeting. Unfortunately for the meeting I will not be there as Janine and I will be in Europe (Germany to be precise) as we leave the weekend before the AGM. I will nominate again for President and will try and call in and listen to the meeting and AGM. If you have thought about joining the committee and seeing how the club is run (and if you have the time) please nominate for a position, remember its your club and we always welcome new faces on the committee.
Just a quick reminder that membership fees are now due, if you haven’t paid your membership fees, please see Peter Corrigan.
Anyway I will see you all at the Presentation night on the 20th.
That’s about it for me for this month.
Until next month, stay safe and safe travels.
Jason
