Hi all,
It has been a busy month in April and it looks like May will be no different. Our club run to Andrew’s and then onto Aldo’s place was a huge success. I would like to thank both Andrew and Aldo for their hospitality in allowing us, their fellow members, to see there builds.
On Good Friday, Janine and I (and the kids) went to a Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday appeal car show in Keilor. There was a nice variety of cars from the 30s through to the 80s. It was also nice to see Richard Fox’s old green FX sedan on display that he recently sold. Good to see that although it has left our club and gone to the Melbourne chapter that it won’t be lost and hidden in a shed and we will still see it regularly.
Although the weather is supposed to get colder this time of year, we have been fortunate to have some nice weather. I hope that some of that nice weather can continue through to May as we have a huge month planned. It all starts off this weekend after the general meeting with Bumpers by the Bay on Sunday the 5th of May in Williamstown. Details are in the newsletter. This event is getting bigger by the year and is hosted by our friends in the Melbourne chapter. The club also has a run to Winton between the 17th and 19th of May for the 43rd Historic Winton.
Unfortunately the air museum run has been moved to June 16th as there was no one available to open up the museum on the day we requested in May. More details regarding this run will be in the June newsletter.
I would like to finish my report off by welcoming our newest member to the EMHC family. On Tuesday 23rd April 2019, little Courtney Paige Read was born weighing a healthy 4940 grams and being 53cm long (so maybe not so little). I would like to congratulate mum (Lisette) and dad (Aaron) on the birth of their beautiful daughter. Im sure our life member Trevor (and Sandra) are also very proud. (and are probably still celebrating). It won’t be long to we see her at a club event or the nationals.
That’s about it for me for this month.
Until next month, stay safe and safe travels.
Jason
