Hi all,

Wel­come to the Octo­ber newslet­ter and I am writ­ing this on the last day of Sep­tem­ber, just after com­plet­ing our suc­cess­ful pre­sen­ta­tion night held via zoom on Wednes­day the 29th of September.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to all our win­ners, I have sent Tris­tan a list of all the win­ners to include in our newslet­ter this month. How­ev­er, I would like to make some notable con­grat­u­la­tions to Kim Radenic for the “Steve Hodges Per­pet­u­al Tro­phy” encour­age­ment award, to joint win­ners Jim Bish­op and Rod Grum­mitt for the Steer­ing Wheel (Dash Fas­cia) award for attend­ing most runs through­out the year, and to Rod Grum­mitt for the Ross Atkins award for the Car of the Year with his Green FJ ute and the Noel Hall Per­pet­u­al Shield for the Top Club­man Award to Gary His­lop. I would also like to con­grat­u­late and acknowl­edge our two newest Life Mem­bers Gary Beard­s­ley and Bar­ry Maxted.

Unfor­tu­nate­ly, due to lock­down the pre­sen­ta­tion night had to be can­celled this year, so it was only fit­ting that we held it this year via zoom.

It will come as no sur­prise to mem­bers due to the cur­rent lock­down restric­tions here in Mel­bourne, that the upcom­ing 43rd AEHF Vic­to­ri­an FX FJ State Titles that was to be held at Her­itage Golf Course and Yarra Val­ley Lodge on the 16th and 17th of Octo­ber have been post­poned to 2022.

The state titles com­mit­tee is cur­rent­ly liais­ing with the venue oper­a­tors to secure a new date for next year. It is the com­mit­tees pre­ferred option to again run this event in Octo­ber of next year.

At this stage we are wait­ing on com­mu­ni­ca­tion with the venue oper­a­tors to ascer­tain the new date. Once we have a new date, we will advise all entrants and clubs on the new date and details of all cur­rent book­ings mov­ing for­ward. If any­one has any con­cerns or queries, please get in touch with either myself or Richard Fox.

For those club mem­bers that need to have their Club Per­mit Scheme books signed and are hav­ing trou­ble hav­ing these signed for renew­al, please get in con­tact with me and we can arrange to have these signed by post, until we meet again in per­son. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we do not know when we will be next at the clubrooms.
