Lazy Hazy Days of Summer of cake & beer & wine.
The first job of the day was to put out the directional signs which I hope everybody found ok.
A good show of cars – 10 in all for the locals to look at. One very nice resident came along with a large photograph of his FJ racing car back in the 50’s & 60’s – very nice. It never ceases to amaze the people you meet on the club runs. Only two Hot Rods turned up as they were at other venues throughout Melbourne. At that time of year so many places to go not unlike our club.
The bar is open, the cake is a flowing & might I say many thanks to the ladies who bought cakes & nibbles.
Lunch supplied by Blue Hills Rise Social Club and once again many thanks to the ladies and gents at the BBQ and serving table. They also ran a raffle which Rod Grummitt was lucky enough to win 2nd prize.
Barefoot Bowls was the order of the day, coaching on the finer points of the game being etiquette and all there is to know about the bowl with its bias and how to bowl it out of your hand, but this soon went out the door then rafferty’s rules prevailed but then fun was had by all & much laughter.
A very relaxing day under the verandah and umbrellas.
